IT MANAGEMENT OFFICER
Irish Girl Guides (IGG) are recruiting a full time IT Management
Officer. This role is a 2-year fixed term position.
The Irish Girl Guides? mission is to enable girls and young women to
develop to their fullest potential as responsible citizens of the
world. This is achieved by the volunteer leaders running a non-formal

all counties in the Republic of Ireland. The organisation has
charitable status and works to ensure it is compliant with all
relevant legislation and codes of good practice. The organisation is
led by a board of volunteers.
The IT management officer will work closely with the CEO, all staff,
and volunteers.
KEY OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
To support Irish Girl Guides in their performance through providing a
problem-solving approach in all areas that require an IT solution.
Supporting Volunteers daily to ensure ease of access to information as
well as data management and security for the organisation.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assist with implementing the IT Strategy for the organisation.
* Document IT processes and procedures to bring IT efficiencies to
the organisation.
* Maintain the membership database and unit management system - a
bespoke organisation wide system called Online Guide Manager (OGM).
* Support both the main IGG website, and the shop site, in
conjunction with the web service provider.
* Provide technical support to staff and volunteers, creating new
bespoke solutions when required as well as user and support
documentation where required.
* Support the work of the organisation through maintaining a
document management system.
* Build and populate an online knowledge base with
issues/resolutions.
* Keep up-to-date records of the software and hardware i.e.,
maintain the IT part of the Asset Register
* Liaise with various IT service providers.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
* Excellent IT experience and proficiency in development of systems
* Excellent accuracy in input of data
* Proficient experience of extrapolating data from a database
* Strong administration and organisational skills
* Good interpersonal skills
* Flexible approach to work
* Be efficient and be able to work as part of a team
* Ability to work with volunteers and professional staff
* Good time management skills and ability to manage a complex
workload
CONDITIONS
This position will initially be for two years, with a six-month
probationary period. The current salary range starts at ?**Apply on

hours/week). Annual leave is **Apply on the website** days plus an
additional 5 days? office closure - Easter, Christmas. This job is
based in IGG National Office and may involve travel outside of Dublin.
Currently the National Office is in Donnybrook, Dublin 4 but will move
to Tallaght, Dublin **Apply on the website** in March **Apply on the
website**. IGG offer flexible working options by arrangement as and
when suitable for both IGG business requirements and the employee.
